2026 Woods Hole Foundation Grant Application Instructions
Thank you for your interest in the Woods Hole Foundation.
We are accepting proposals for 2026 grants through March 31st, 2026. Please prepare your application as a single PDF document with multiple pages, including all the required information in the format section. Review these instructions and our FAQs before submitting your application form using the web form linked at the bottom of this page.
Application Format
The first page of your application should contain the following information. Limit: 1 page.
✓ Contact name, organization name, phone number, email address, mailing address.
✓ Web site (optional)
✓ Name and Tax ID number of sponsoring 501(c)(3) charitable organization
✓ Outcome of previous Woods Hole Foundation grant, if applicable. Summary limit 50 words.
✓ Brief summary of 2026 proposal. Limit 50 words.
✓ Amount of funds requested from the Woods Hole Foundation in 2026.
Following the first page, please include the full proposal narrative. Limit: 3 pages
✓ Explain what, specifically, the funds will be used for and how the proposed project or activity benefits the community.
✓ Include proposed project schedule.

Finally, add supporting documents. No page limit, but please be concise.
✓ Detailed project budget corresponding to requested funds
✓ Organization financial statement
✓ Letter of support from partner organization if applicable
✓ Letter of support from sponsoring 501(c)(3) organization if applicable
✓ Letter from the IRS recognizing exempt status under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code​

Application Submission
Completed applications must be submitted using the web link below no later than March 31, 2026.

Combine all application materials into a single PDF file. Application materials include cover summary page, narrative, budget, and financial statements. Your PDF file name must begin with your organization’s name. For example, “EnvironmentHousingGroup_2026.pdf”.

Fill in all the requested information in the form, upload your PDF file, and click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the submission form.
